Terms of use

Forge is the app a gym, box or studio runs itself on: a calendar of classes and events, booking with credits and passes, a whiteboard, dues and payments, a roster, and messaging between a gym and its members. A gym opens its own room on Forge; its members join that room. Quobo Labs operates the platform; each gym operates its room.

You sign up with an email and a password, or the desk at your gym signs you up and sends you a link to set one. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete it at any time from inside the app (Delete your account, beside Sign out), which removes your data as the privacy policy describes.

A gym’s room on Forge is a subscription — the seat — billed monthly to the gym, with everything included, at the price shown before it is started. It is paid by card through Stripe, on the web, and managed from the seat screen there; the iOS and Android apps sell nothing and take no payment for it. Cancelling keeps the room open to the end of the paid period. A seat unpaid past its grace period closes the room to everyone in it until it is paid; nothing in it is deleted.

Payments a gym takes from its own members ride the gym’s own Stripe account. Those are the gym’s sales, on the gym’s terms; Forge is the till, not the seller.

Memberships, class packs, drop-ins, cancellation windows and refunds inside a gym’s room are that gym’s to set and to honour. The app records what was agreed and what was paid; the desk at your gym is who to ask about it. Forge shows you a plan a coach wrote and a record a coach confirmed. It is not medical advice, and an injury you flag in the app is a note to your coaches, not a diagnosis.

What you put into Forge — results, messages, the injuries you flag, the documents you sign — is yours. You give the gym you belong to the right to keep and use it to run its room, and you give Quobo Labs the right to store and process it to provide the service. We do not sell it and we do not use it to advertise to you.

Don’t use Forge to harass anyone, to misrepresent who you are, to reach data that isn’t yours, or to break the law. A gym may remove a member from its room; Quobo Labs may close a room or an account that breaks these terms.

Forge changes as it is built. We may change these terms; a material change is announced in the app before it takes effect, and using Forge after that is accepting it. Older app builds may stop working when the service changes; the app tells you when it needs updating. The service is provided as is, and Quobo Labs’ liability to you is limited to what you paid for the seat in the twelve months before a claim, to the extent the law allows.
